OUR HISTORY


Saint-Hubert Flying College is an institution of higher learning. It is dedicated to provide individuals with quality flight training that will prepare them with high level skills necessary for employment in the aviation field.

It was in 2004 when Mr. Mohammed Hamdi decided to combine his two major interests: flying and teaching. As a career as a commercial pilot he realized the demand for more pilots and need for specialized training to fulfill the needs of the aviation industry. His mission was to train future commercial airline pilots. As the industry’s needs became increasingly international so the student pilots will have accreditation and professionalism.

Since 2004 more than 10.000 licences have been earned by students at Saint-Hubert Flying College. A majority of the college’s graduates pilots are flying professionally in Canada and internationally. Saint-Hubert Flying College had increased the flying hours to 15.000 yearly. There have been considerable changes since the first years of the college. Its mission is to develop leaders in commercial aviation and Saint-Hubert Flying College is committed to its student’s success and will take no shortcuts to achieve the objective.

Mr. Mohammed Hamdi has been the president and the chief flight instructor of Saint-Hubert Flying College since its inception. He has over 20 years of experience in managing a successful flight training school in all areas including recruiting.

I have really enjoyed being able to combine two of my passions: flying and teaching. Flying experience allowed me to apply what I have learned and my passion for airplanes allowed me to explore the airspace world.

Saint-Hubert Flying College specializes specifically on the development and training of future airline pilots world-wide. Saint-Hubert Flying College is approved by the two major accrediting commissions: Minister of Transport Canada and by the Minister of Education Quebec. Our college is approved by the TCCA for a restricted ATP certificate for 18 months associate program.

The aeronautical program prepares the graduates for a career in the aviation industry by providing a strong foundation in the aviation industry. The graduate will receive from Saint-Hubert Flying College flight training from private pilot through airline pilot licence and they can get the instructor rating as an additional option. By completing these courses our students will set themselves in the aviation world.

Our large fleets Multi Engine is equipped with Garmins GPS, glass cockpit Seneca, Single Engine fleet consists of Piper Arrow, Piper Warrior, Cessna 172 and Cessna 152.

Ground school is taught in classroom groups environment. The administration and flying college training facility is open daily from 9am to 11pm if weather permits the flights operations. Building is open 24/7daily rain or shine.

Flight training instructors are hired directly from the ranks of our graduating student population and have more than 200 hours of flight time.

The flight training instructors work one on one with their students. Students often complete the entire training program with the same flight training instructor which allows them to develop a comfortable relationship and learn faster.

Flight training instructors are available to fly with students 7 days a week. Our flight training instructors continue to develop their skills while in the flight density traffic operations of Quebec airspace.

All our aircrafts are maintened under 50 hours inspection program provided at our own maintenance facility (Handfield Aviation)
